The HOP's updated Construction Schedule is here!
We have had several minor and a few more major construction delays. Several were just late or incomplete product deliveries. The most significant were outdoor, site preparation tasks that were either not clearly identified, delayed by the weather, or both. The prime example was the ditch to the left of our parking lot that heads back toward the train tracks. This ditch contains the tie-in to the water main for our new sprinkler system, including the large backflow device you see along side the parking lot. Much of the indoor work is delayed waiting for the town's inspection of this critical infrastructure which is schedule for tomorrow or Friday.
We believe that delay is our last significant hold-up and we are now ready to publish a completion schedule:
The HOP remains open with 6 courts through and including Sunday, June 18. During this time all construction in the new building, except for the new courts will be completed.
The HOP closes on Monday, June 19 for 26 days. During this time the 6 new courts will be constructed, carpeting will be installed in the center aisle and in the new community area (the space between the original courts and the new courts). the sprinkler system will be installed in the original court area and the original courts will be resurfaced. Finally new fencing and between-court netting will be installed in and around all of the 12 courts.
The HOP plans a soft reopening on Saturday, July 15 and a week later a special Grand Reopening on July 22. Save this date as we have many special events planned. Furthermore, we will be so happy to be open with 12 courts that all pickleball play will be FREE.

For all our customers with paid memberships, we will extend yoiur next payment date by the number of days we are closed.
